Top Summer 2021 Interior Design Trends

June 12, 2021

We recently welcomed the unofficial start to summer last week. And this summer, many residents of Midland GA homes are looking to do it B-I-G in and around their homes. If you are looking to change up your interior, check out these tips to spruce up your interior design this summer.

  1. Elements of nature – Blending elements of nature into your interior design is a great way to bring the outdoors in. One of the biggest ways to accomplish this is through plants. Real plants are great for air quality and will add life to your space as well as color. Faux or dried plants are also a good substitute. A water feature is a calming and peaceful natural element that will bring more beauty into your home. Using natural materials, like bamboo, gold, or silk, into your home décor is also a good way of including elements of nature into your home design.
  2. Open windows – One of the biggest trends you will see right now is letting natural light in. Big windows are one of the easiest ways to accomplish this. You could also use sheer window coverings or pull back the drapes to let the sun in. Open your windows to allow fresh air to permeate your interior.
  3. Stripes and other patterns – Stripes mix very well with other patterns. This look is something you will see in interior magazines and on design TV shows. Anything from floral patterns and plaid to ikat and polka dots.
  4. Temporary wallpaper – Wallpaper has been making a comeback in recent years. There are those who do not want to permanently commit to having wallpaper on their walls. This peel and stick adhesive is a wonderful alternative that is easy to apply.
