Columbus is a great place to live and raise a family. Located in Mid-West Georgia, Columbus is situated on the Georgia-Alabama line and is nestled along the Chattahoochee River. Columbus has a lot to offer and is the perfect place for even homes in Columbus GA residents to get out and explore. Check out these family-friendly attractions that are currently open.
Columbus Botanical Garden – Enjoy 36 acres of greenspace to learn about a wide range of plants. The Columbus Botanical Garden’s features herbs, veggies, and an assortment of flowers. In addition, there is also a scenic walking trail perfect for a photo opportunity. There are also featured events for kids, lectures, and birdwatching tours. The Columbus Botanical Garden is open Tuesday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Columbus Dragonfly Trail – The weather is warming up around Columbus. Visit this multi-use bicycle and pedestrian trail that has more than 30 miles completed including the Riverwalk. Get out with your family to bike and walk just to enjoy a day out or an evening stroll.
The Columbus Museum – Stop by this museum to see American art and regional history come to life through various collections and exhibitions. There are also activities, events, and programs to see, learn, and partake in. The museum is open Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 12 noon to 5 p.m., Thursday from 12 noon to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
