Columbus GA Fall Food Truck Festival
October 28, 2017
Spending all day looking at Columbus GA homes to buy can cause a person to work up quite an appetite. The folks at Uptown Columbus have a tasty way for you to satisfy those hunger pangs as they and the Atlanta Street Food Coalition host the 5th Annual Food Truck Festival.
The action takes place on November 11th from 11 am to 5 pm at Woodruff Park and Dillingham Bridge. This food truck mecca features 25 gourmet food trucks from around Columbus serving up tasty treats like smoked pork shoulder and baby back ribs from the Royal Pig BBQ. Patrons can also feast on farm-to-table menu selections like gourmet grilled cheese and paninis from Low-Co Motion.
The Fry Guy Atlanta will be on hand serving up Belgian style street fries in a cone with incredible dipping sauces. If you’re in the mood for made from scratch comfort food, Mac the Cheese will offer melt-in-your-mouth mac n cheese and meat loaf.
Here are some of the other food trucks that will be on hand during the festival:
Mix’d Up Burgers – Imagine the Hard Rock Café on wheels, and you’ve got a recipe for burgers that will rock your tastebuds!
King Kabob – This eclectic food truck serves up savory, delicious skewers fusing American soul food with accents of Asia, the Caribbean, Africa and Latin America.
Island Chef Café – If you like the flavors of the Caribbean, you’ll need to seek out this food truck for their fresh, local and internationally sourced ingredients that are combined to create tropical dishes that tantalize your taste buds.
Super Tot Truck – These tater tots are bursting with flavor, as everything from vegan to meat gets tossed on top of these potato bites.
The Deep South Biscuit Co. – Big, hot, flaky, baked from scratch buttermilk biscuits are piled high with amazing ingredients that will have you begging for more. Selections include BBQ pulled pork, buttermilk fried chicken, bacon jam, pimento cheese, and fried green tomatoes.
Other notable food trucks on hand will be Tex’s Tacos, cheesesteaks from Five Finger Philly, and Japanese-inspired cuisine from the Bento Bus.
Admission is $5 CASH per person; children 12 and younger are free. Vendors accept cash and credit cards. The cover charge helps pay operational costs to run the event, and to fund Uptown’s free events during the year such as Spooktacular and Riverfest. Uptown Columbus will provide some tables and chairs, but guests are encouraged to bring their own collapsible, tailgate style chairs.
